How to find products to promote as an affiliate creator

The products that sell best are usually ones you already use and can show on camera. Price drops on those products give you a fresh reason to post about them again. Add today's deals and your own click data, and you'll have more to post than you have time for.

Start with what you already own

Walk through your kitchen, closet, car and desk and list the things you would buy again. Those are the easiest recommendations to make honestly, and you can film them today. The FTC's guidance is about honest endorsements, and the products you actually use are the ones you can speak to without stretching.

Listen to what followers ask

Comments and DMs like "what blender is that?" or "where's that rug from?" are product requests. Keep a running list. When the same question comes up three times, make a video about that product and put it on your store.

Use price drops as content

A product you posted in March gets a second life when it goes on sale in June. InfluShop re-checks every product in your store daily, marks price drops and 30-day lows on the cards, and can send you an alert by email or Discord when a pick gets cheaper.

  1. 1

Add everything you've recommended to your store, even older picks.

  2. 2

    Turn on price-drop alerts.

  3. 3

When an alert comes in, post a Story or short video: what it is, the old price, the new price.

  4. 4

Use Create post in the dashboard to make a feed or Story image of the product in your store's theme.

Browse today's deals

InfluShop's Deal Finder lists current discounts across supported retailers. Filter to the categories your audience cares about and add a product to your store in a click. Only add what you would actually recommend; a store full of random markdowns reads like an ad feed.

Let your numbers pick the next product

Your click data shows what your audience wants. InfluShop Pro shows top products, referrers and traffic by platform and category; every plan shows lifetime views and clicks. On Amazon, separate tracking IDs per platform show which audience buys. Make more content around the products and categories that already get clicked.

Questions

Should I promote products I haven't used?+

Be careful. FTC guidance says endorsements should reflect your honest opinion, and Amazon's policies bar misleading claims about products. If you haven't used something, say so, or stick to facts like the price.

Are price drops worth posting about?+

Often, yes. A drop on a product your audience already knows from you is a simple reason to post again, and it works best when you show the old and new price.

Put every pick in one link.

Paste the affiliate links you already use. InfluShop builds the product cards, checks prices daily and keeps your tracking untouched.
